Ph: Yvonne Chew
I am privileged to be a dance artist, yoga teacher, and scholar based on the unceded Coast Salish territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations.
I hold a BA and an MA in Philosophy, and an MA in Comparative Media Arts. My research interests include dance and phenomenology, as well as the definition of presence in dance performance.
I've been teaching since 2008. In 2011, I graduated as a Dance Educator and Community Engagement Facilitator (Danzeducatore©). The same year, I also became a Teacher in Philosophy for Children and Community (P4C). Since then, I've been working toward building a community of movers and thinkers with people from 0 to 99+ years old.
I'm the artistic director of the Italian association CO.ME.TE (Body, Mind and Territory) and one of the co-founder of PerFormazioni Cinetiche (PFC), an Italian association for dance promotion, management and production.
